Con-Dor '96: Members of The Klingon Empire of Yore, "an organization dedicated to recreating and depicting the history of the Klingon Empire, especially the times of Molor and Kahless." This picture was taken after a "Klingon Rite of Ascension" ceremony (where one passes through a gauntlet and is poked with "fire-sticks," whilst shouting blood-curdling oaths like..."I will cut out my enemy's liver and eat it with...onions!"). I think the Rasta-Klingon (third from right) looks pretty cool.

Aspiring Writer Bart Marchand with Established Writer Katherine Kurtz at Westercon 51 (July 1998). Bart looks rather awestruck -- which is entirely understandable.

And of course, I am equally awestruck posing beside Tim Powers at Con-Dor '99. Which is entirely understandable.
