From
Halloween 1986 at E.F. Hutton in the Licensing Department. I'm on
the far left in the Fiorucci tee-shirt. I didn't want to wear an actual
costume (I'm just not into Halloween, sorry). I called this outfit
my "Papa Don't Preach" look (you know, the Madonna video?
Oh, never mind). |

Speaking
of the Eighties, here are a couple of reasons why 80s fashions should
never return. Ah yes, the days of big hair, big earrings and bright,
bold primary colors. And who can forget the ghastly acidwash denim
phase? Yech. But I have to confess, denim purist that I am now,
I did once succumb to the fad. Luckily those few acidwash jeans
and one jean jacket are long gone from my closet. (Still,
every now and then, I'll spot some clueless soul still wearing acidwash
denim. And with lace and rhinestone trim, even. Yech. Yech. Yech.)

I
realize that some Eighties fashions are making a comeback of
sorts -- but pul-EEZE not this mess of mixed prints. I can't
believe I dressed so...loud. But that was what was "In,"
circa 1986. |

And
so, Time and Fashion marches on...
Below
are a couple of pictures taken at Glenfed, circa 1990. The first
is a new-employee mug shot, and the other is from Halloween (I was
supposed to be a "rebel student." Yeah, right. I'm soooo
convincing, aren't I?)

Here
I am at Seaport Village in San
Diego (1994). I like to visit the Upstart Crow Coffeehouse/Book
Store there. They make great iced mochas and lattés -- cool and
tasty for summer. Plus it's nice to sip your coffee surrounded by
thousands of books. Yes, the aroma of new books and freshly ground
coffee beans go together quite nicely.

This page webbed by Anne Hutchins. Yes I did it myself. Honest.
(NOTE:
For some unknown reason, this page only looks decent on IE5 in both Windows
and Mac, Netscape for Windows. On Netscape for Mac...well, it doesn't
look so good. I have tweaked and tweaked it, and shall tweak it no more.
If anyone can offer a suggestion...?)
