LATE
BREAKING NEWS: As of 9/23/02, I am officially a Macintosh
'puter owner. And yes, it's an eMac
! And it's running OS X.2, (aka Jaguar...rarrrr!**). I still
have to buy software to match what's on Mr. Wizard*, but in
the meantime, I'm having a blast with MacMerlin (yes, that's
his name; don't snicker too loudly). May I add that iTunes rock?
The speakers on this lil' Mac are amazing.
*Currently, I have the Adobe Web Collection
for Mac: Photoshop 7, Illustrator 10, GoLive 6, and LiveMotion
2. Next: Macromedia Studio MX for Mac: Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks,
and Freehand. Lastly: Microsoft Office X.
**Umm...missed Panther (10.3), will
eventually upgrade to Tiger (10.4).
Eventually I'll build a page just
for MacMerlin, but here are some quickie specs:
700MHz, 640mb RAM, Combo drive (DVD, CD-RW), 40gb hard drive,
17" (16" viewable) built-in CRT monitor, Zip 250
